Teacher agreement and code of conduct

Verification

Before you can teach you must verify your ID with DigiLocker, upload a police verification certificate, give your PAN and bank details, and accept this code of conduct. We review every application.

Rates and earnings

• You choose a rate of ₹50, ₹75, ₹100 per 15 minutes.
• You earn 70% of the tokens charged for each session, extension or missed session.
• Payouts go to your bank every week once at least ₹100 is waiting. TDS is deducted as the Income-tax Act requires.

Code of conduct

• Never ask for or share phone numbers, social-media handles, links or any other way to contact a student outside Shiksit.
• Never accept payment outside Shiksit.
• Every session is recorded and may be reviewed by us and watched by the student's parents. Behave as you would in a classroom.
• Never ask a student to switch on a camera. The app doesn't allow it.
• Teach the method, not just the answer, at the student's class level and in their chosen language.

Reliability

Missing a confirmed session gives you a strike and the student gets all tokens back. 3 strikes in 30 days suspends your account until we review it. Breaking the code of conduct can end your account immediately.
